Quick CCD question

I'll keep it brief, I'm looking at 2 camcorders both 1CCD but one has a 1/4" 800k CCD and the other is 1/6" 800k CCD. Which is going to produce the better quality image?

So you know my old camera is 1/4" 800k 1CCD and the image quality is SUPERB. Will 1/6" make it even better, or worse?

Found the answer. The 1/4" would be better.

Now I can't understand why Panasonic used to sell camercorders with 1/4" at under ?200 but now they're all over ?400. Bastards.

General rule...Bigger film--Better image.

Same goes for CCD/CMOS.
